Visual Arts

We recognize that strong visual arts programs are led by qualified and talented instructors using research-based instructional techniques and strategies that allow all students to develop an appreciation for and an understanding of the visual arts as a valuable and expressive fine art form.

We are pleased to share the following resources:

Case Studies: This case study features key advice for building a quality visual arts program from the award-winning St. Francis Preparatory School, Fresh Meadows, N.Y.
Program Evaluation Tool: Specific criterion for schools to use as a program evaluation tool or to apply for a Program of Distinction in Visual Arts, which is awarded to schools with exemplary programs in a specific subject area.

School Contacts: Contact information for member schools that have demonstrated excellence in visual arts. We encourage you to use other schools as a resource. Set up a time to tour a program and learn from each other’s experiences. Ask questions. Get to know each other. Learn!
