Kelly Christian: Vice President of Operations

We are pleased to announce that Kelly Christian has been appointed to our leadership team as Vice President of Operations, effective August 2019.

A leader in accreditation, organizational dynamics, and strategic thinking, Kelly Christian is an accomplished manager for Middle States. With a deep understanding of cross-cultural relationships, Kelly has worked with schools in more than 100 countries— deepening the relationships between international schools, governmental and non-governmental organizations and Middle States.

Kelly Christian began her career with Middle States in 2007 as an Assistant Director managing accreditation visits to international schools. Over the last decade, Kelly has worked with hundreds of volunteers to build nearly 400 visiting teams in more than 100 countries. She also led trainings for volunteers and schools in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. As Director of Operations from 2014 to 2019, Kelly organized the restructure of the organization, facilitated the new strategic plan, developed and implemented short and long- range financial plans and grew international membership. Since 2014, Kelly represents MSA on the International Taskforce for Child Protection, a group of international educators and leaders from around the world working together on increasing child safeguarding and protection in schools around the world.

In her new role as Vice President of Operations she coordinates staff activities and responsibilities, manages international partnerships, leads training workshops at regional and international conferences and oversees marketing and public relations.

Kelly earned her bachelor’s degree in international affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and her master’s degree in nonprofit leadership from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
